He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vernon T. Rice, Sr. and Evelyn Frances Rice; his wife Dorothy Harward Rice; his children, David and Robyn; his brother James Lee Rice; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Stephanie and Robbie; and his sisters-in-law, Betty, Barbara, Mona and Brenda. He was also cherished by six grandchildren.
