He was predeceased by: his parents, James Davitt and Irene Davitt; his children, Ralph E. Davitt Jr. and Patricia Davitt Garcia; and his siblings, Bea Weale, Harold Davitt and Margaret Fallon.
He is survived by: his wife Edith Aldeane Davitt; his daughters, Sandra Wilson (Charles) of Salina, OK, Nancy McCormick (William) of Simpsonville, SC, Norene Kowalik (John) of Montague, NJ and Susan Bixler (Glenn) of Suffolk, VA; and his sisters, Doris Riggs, Shirley Elman and Joan Smith. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
