He is survived by: his parents, Carolynne Stavola and Hugh Vinton Fitzwater; his wife Shelley; his children, Grady, Ellis, Graham, Andrew and Mary; and his sisters, Carol Hudson (Tim) and Marcia Rull (Bernie).
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Christ & St. Luke's Episcopal Church (560 W Olney Rd, Norfolk, VA 23507). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the TowneBank University (6001 Harbour View Blvd, Suffolk, VA 23435).
