He is survived by: his parents, Junius Atkins Slaughter, Jr. and Delores Bryant Slaughter; his wife Ruth Elliot Hill Slaughter; his children, Jon Stewart (Emily), Michael Slaughter (Emma), Lynda Stewart and Jenna Stewart; his grandchildren, Rameik, Imanni, Asia, Jordan, Briton, Halley, Ava, Scot and Elijah; his siblings, Anita Slaughter, Deborah Crandell (Darnell), Valerie Johnson (Deondra), Vera Slaughter and Robert Slaughter (Momo); and his siblings-in-law, June Hill Alford, Anne Simpson and David Hill (Joyce). He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
