She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Fairfax Owens and Laura Etta Zeigler Owens; and her sister Laura Lee Owens Morris. She is survived by: her husband Charles Kemper Winstead; and her siblings, Christine L. Owens (Sanford Newman) and Louis F. Owens, Jr. (Carol). She is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bethlehem Christian Church (1549 Holland Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434).
