She was predeceased by: her parents, Sarah Gobble and Robert O. Brooks; her husband Forrest Hugh Cathey; and her siblings, Robert O. Brooks, Jr. and Louise Brooks McCall.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Cathey Linville (Craig), Donna Cathey Henderson (Charlie) and Barbara Cathey Hannah (Billy); her grandchildren, Heather McDaniel Koonts, Charles R. Henderson, III (Jaime), Adam R. Henderson (Kate), Forrest Hannah and Caitlyn Hannah; and her great grandchildren, William, Andrew Koonts, Brooks, Emma Henderson and McKenna Henderson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Suffolk Christian Church (216 N Main St, Suffolk, VA 23434).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Suffolk Christian Church or the charity of your choice.
