She was predeceased by: her parents, George Worley Hughes and Adelaide Temperance Perry Hughes; her former husband James A. Darden, Sr.; her husband Elvers Henry Holland; and her siblings, Forest, Willie, George, Marshall Hughes, Ruth Whitley and Edith Hughes.
She is survived by: her son James A. "Junior" Darden, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Lisa; her grandsons, Brandon J. Darden and Joshua A. Darden (Maddy); and her great grandchild Meritt Andrew Darden.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Wright Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Wright Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Monday December 2, 2024 from 4 to 5:30 PM at the Funeral Home and suggests memorial donations be made to Jordans Crossing Ministries, 6733 South Quay Road , Suffolk, VA 23437.
