He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde VanHoose and Freda Kunkle VanHoose; his son Justin Carr; and his siblings, Carolyn Shafer and Don VanHoose.
He is survived by: his son Joshua VanHoose; his sister Sandy Clevenger; his grandson Tanner Carr; and his former wife Darleen VanHoose.
