It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine Worrell Pierce of Suffolk, Virginia, born in Isle of Wight, Virginia, who passed away on December 2, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Franklin Worrell, Sr. and Olive Wills Worrell; her husband Richard Percy Pierce, Sr.; and her siblings, Marie W. Roeder and Joseph Franklin Worrell, Jr. (Josephine).
She is survived by: her children, Wanda Susan Prescott (Frank) and Richard Percy Pierce, Jr.; her grandchildren, Amanda Brooke Dalton (Lucas), Christopher Neil Shea (Sarah), Zachary Aaron Pierce (Ashley), Michelle Leigh Prescott and Stephen Pierce Prescott; and her great grandchildren, Katie Walker Pierce, Elijah Michael Dalton, Adam Zachary Pierce, Aspen Olivia Dalton, Connor Owen Pierce, Virginia "Ginny" Lynn Shea and Peyton Mary Jean Pierce. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Providence United Methodist Church Building Fund.
