He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel W. Ricks, Sr. and Mary M. Fisher Ricks; and his brothers, Pernell Ricks and Winston Michael Ricks. He is survived by: his daughter LaTarisha Mann; his grandchildren, AnDreya Mann and DeAndre Mann; and his siblings, Elois Johnson, Rev. Betty Montgomery, Joyce R. Jones and Clarence Ricks (Ivor). He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at the First Baptist Church (600 Factory Street, Suffolk, VA 23434).
