He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thompson and Virginia Thompson; and his wife Shirley D. Thompson. He is survived by: his children, Shawn Thompson (Jennifer) and Adrienne Caldwell (James); his granddaughters, Summer Thompson and Sydney Morgan; and his sister Alice Moore. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
