She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Callahan and Lottie Callahan; her husbands, Maylon Z. Simpson and Daniel Creelman, Sr.; her son Jerry Simpson; and her siblings, Esma Hill, Nelda Connell and James Callahan.
She is survived by: her children, Elaine Jackson of Suffolk and Ronnie K. Simpson of Navarre, FL; her stepson Mark Creelman of Chesapeake; her caregiver Mark Ashley; her grandchildren, Wes Jackson, Jill Jackson Craig, Tabitha Wilson, Adrienne Taylor, Zachary Simpson and Wesley Alexander; and her close friends, Patsy Lewis, Evelyn Worrell, Arlene Carson and Shirley Rountree. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
