She is survived by: her children, Debra Beck of Richmond and Michael King of Smithfield; her grandchildren, Melissa Wiseman of Richmond, Hilary Brookshire of Alexandria and Joshua King of Smithfield, Virginia; and her brothers, James R. Spence (Buddy) of Hertford and Thomas E. Spence of Chesapeake, Virginia.. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
