He was predeceased by: his parents, George Aird and Nellie Aird; his sister Margaret Martin; his wife Barbara; and his granddaughter Elizabeth Aird.

He is survived by: his daughter Beverly Aird-Rankin (Chris); his grandchildren, Devon Rankin and Austin Rankin; his children, Brenda Aird (Tom) and Brian Aird (Sue); his grandsons, Nick Aird (Kailey) and Tim Aird; his son Bruce Aird (Amy); and his grandson Nathan Aird. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church.
