She was predeceased by: her father Edward Cowan; and her husband Curtis Earl Williams. She is survived by: her mother Betty Jean Cowan Brinkley of Suffolk, Virginia; her daughters, Lisa Knight of Suffolk and Melody Taylor (Zach); her brother Lawrence Cowan (Carol) of Carrsville, Virginia; her grandsons, Blake (Morgan Taylor) and John L. Jenkins (Loretta) of Chesapeake, Virginia; her pet Coco; and her caregiver Chirle Pearl Wiggins.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Somerton United Methodist Church (8610 Whaleyville Blvd, Suffolk, VA 23438).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Emily's name to Amedisys Hospice Care (814 Greenbrier Cir, Suite F, Chesapeake, VA 23320).
