It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elaine Pierce Salmon (Suffolk, Virginia), who passed away on January 13, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Lee Pierce and Cleta Mae Carter Bradshaw; and her stepfather Herbert "Red" A. Bradshaw. She is survived by: her husband James "Jim" Thomas Salmon, Sr.; her children, Rhonda S. Phippins (Tom), James Thomas "Tommy" Salmon, Jr. (Robin) and Brenda S. Russell (Blake); her grandchildren, James "Jamie" Thomas Salmon III (Liz), Becky S. Johnson (Wes), Chelsey S. Sari (Charles), Ricky "Rick" Lee Gregory, Jr., Jackalyn K. LaFave (Chaz) and Juliette E. Knight (Chaydon); her great grandchildren, Lexie, Colton, Cash, Riley, Owen, Cayne and Jack; and her sister Audrey P. Smith. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
