Edna V. Bivins Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 24, 2025, at the age of 96, Edna V. Bivins (Suffolk, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Edna may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Edna touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Ricks and Martha Ricks; and her husband Charlie. She is survived by: her daughter Marion F. Williams (Les); and her sisters, Marion A. Briggs of Suffolk, VA and Frances A. Pittman of Suffolk, VA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Viewing was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Calendar Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. (900 E Washington St, Suffolk, VA 23434). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calendar Mausoleum Chapel at Carver Memorial Cemetery (2320 E Washington St, Suffolk, VA 23434).
