We are sad to announce that on October 20, 2023, at the age of 94, Edna A. Strickland (Suffolk, Virginia), born in Wayne County, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lela Jones Anderson and George Anderson; her husband William Strickland (Bill); her grandson William T. Ellis, Jr.; and her siblings, Edward Gene, Robert Anderson, Helen Hinson, Eva Coombs, Gladys Lee and Eunice Overton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda S. (Jim Dinsmore) and Margaret S. (Wayne Boyce); her sisters, Doris Dickerson and Inez McCrosky; her grandchildren, Heather Boyce (J. J.) of Suffolk and J. Stock Dinsmore (Amy) of Virginia Beach; and her great grandchildren, Kaylin, Holly Dinsmore, Jayden, Braylen and Grayson Cook.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Western Branch Baptist Church, or charity of choice.
