It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Balance Cartwright (Suffolk, Virginia), born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, who passed away on January 28, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Balance and Bessie Lamb; and her husband Robert H. Cartwright. She is survived by: her daughter Ernestine Cartwright Williams (Roy); her sister Anna Jennings; her grandsons, Christopher Lee Williams and Johnathan Wayne Williams; and her great grandchildren, Hailee Alexis Williams and Nathaniel Kyte Williams. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her name.
