He was predeceased by: his parents, Spurgeon Palmer and Stella Palmer; and his sister Frances Palmer. He is survived by: his wife Rosalyn Hyder Palmer of Suffolk, VA.; his brother Jerry Palmer (Sue) of Brookhaven, MS; his child Canda Palmer Eilertson (Stephen) of Oak Ridge, TN; and his grandchildren, Pace Palmer (Ginny) of Carrollton, Virginia, Sidney Douglas Eilertson, Leif Eilertson, Pace Palmer Jr., Gabe Palmer and Carter Palmer.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel (2690 Bridge Rd, Suffolk, VA 23435).
