With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol Jean Dunn of Suffolk, Virginia, born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, who passed away on April 7, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Sweet and Catherine Sweet; her daughter Tanya J. Davis; her siblings, Maxine Sweet and Michael Sweet, Sr.; and her grandchild Thomas Gentry.
She is survived by: her husband James; her children, Robert Dunn (Rebecca) of Franklin and Kristen Jeffers (Timothy) of Suffolk; and her granddaughter Caitlin Gentry.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the R. W. Baker & Company Funeral Home and Crematory (509 W Washington St, Suffolk, VA 23434). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens (4569 Shoulders Hill Rd, Suffolk, VA 23435).
