He was predeceased by: his mother Lena Ann Crutchlow Ellis; and his grandparents, Austin Albro, Fannie Olivia Brinkley Ellis, Irving Burruss Crutchlow Sr. and Lucile Blankenship Crutchlow.
He is survived by: his father H. Jan Ellis; and his sister Angel Ellis Khoury of Manteo, NC. He is also survived by aunts and uncles; cousins who were like his brothers and sisters; second and third cousins.
