We bid farewell to Betty Mae Harper (Suffolk, Virginia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 27, 2024 at the age of 83. Betty Mae touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eddie Silver Sr. and Mae Silver Moore; and her children, Henry and Jackie Silver. She is survived by: her children, Benita Townsend, Janel Harper, Benjamin (Delissia), Derrick and Tonya (Tracy); her siblings, Herbert Silver (Mamie), Eddie Silver Jr. (Patricia), Mattie Eley (Royal) and Dr. Sylvester Silver (Linda); and her friend Mildred King. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Viewing was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Calendar Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. (900 E Washington St, Suffolk, VA 23434). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at 112 Beech St, Suffolk, VA 23434.
