We are sad to announce that on May 15, 2021, at the age of 88, Robert W. Scates Jr. of Stuarts Draft, Virginia, born in Warrenton, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Walter Scates, Sr. and Lucille Moffett Scates of Virginia; and his children, Robert W. Scates, II and Allyson Lynne Scates Goff. He is survived by: his son Michael Stuart Scates (Beth) of Raleigh; and his close friend Nancy W. Alfred. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
