He is survived by: his wife Ann Eavers Layton; his children, James "Jamie" Layton (Lisa), Lisa Brooks and Susan Perry (David); his grandchildren, Taryn Ruane (John), Kyle Layton (Chrissy), Kristen Brooks, Caleb Brooks (Ashley) and Brandon Perry; and his great grandchildren, Lila and Adeline Ruane.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Stuarts Draft Baptist Church and Stuarts Draft Rescue Squad.
