It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eva Shirley Hamilton (Stuarts Draft, Virginia), born in Nelson, Virginia, who passed away on March 14, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband George Matthew Hamilton of Stuarts Draft; her parents, Golden Fitzgerald and Ruth Fitzgerald (Layton); her former husband Wallace Benson; her son Bobby Hamilton; her siblings, Alton Fitzgerald, Wallace Fitzgerald, Ernest Fitzgerald, Elvin Fitzgerald, Wilber Fitzgerald, Sibyl Coyner and Bertha McClung; her son-in-law Grover Coffey; and her grandson Bobby Joe Hamilton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dotty Benson Coffey of Stuarts Draft, Shirley Benson Fauber of Chincoteague and Judy (Jim Moore); her daughter-in-law Martha Hamilton; her sisters, Margie "Jane" Houser, Doris "Gin" Sweet, Betty Thacker (Fred) and Rebecca "Jodie" Truxell (Carlton); her grandchildren, Shelly Coffey Tierney (Jim), Sterling Fauber (Mady), Keagen Moore, Aaron Hamilton (Fanny), Adam Hamilton (Camron) and Andrew Hamilton; her great grandchildren, Jack, Owen Tierney, Manny, Christian, Sebi Fauber, Mack, Noah, Trace Hamilton, Matt and Mike Hamilton; and her nephew Leon Hamilton (Julie).
