He is survived by: his wife Wanda East Garrison; his children, Susan Gartrell (David) of Goleta, CA, Kelly Donato (Brian) of Crozet, VA and Matthew Scott Garrison (Wendy) of Sussex, NJ; his stepsons, Kevin Coyner (Kaye) of Waynesboro, VA and Kris Sacra (Danielle) of Staunton, VA; his grandchildren, William Gartrell, Nicholas Donato, Charlotte Donato, Amanda Hashagen (Scott), Mackenzie Sacra, Alexis Sacra and Reagan Sacra; his great grandchildren, Ava, Kaden and Jacob Hashagen; and his siblings, Ellie Garrison Vess of Staunton, VA, Dewey R. Garrison (Karen) of Easton, CT and Alvin E. Garrison (Marina) of Oakland Park, FL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
