With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clarence Malcolm Beard of Stuarts Draft, Virginia, who passed away on February 8, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Withrow Beard and Bertha Elizabeth Swortzel Beard; his sister Christine; his brother-in-law Curtis Floyd; his brother Ralph Beard; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret "Peggy" Beard, Sue, Maynard Hockman, Martha, Van Forbes and Hensil Engleman.

He is survived by: his wife Ellen Moore McCormick; his daughters, Gwen Carrand Ronnie Carr of Waynesboro and Virginia "Ginny" Poynter (Dale Poynter) of Waynesboro; his grandchildren, Michael Poynter, Margaret and Jeffery Carr (Wendy); his great grandchildren, Gabe and Nate; his sister-in-law Virginia Engleman; and his nieces and nephews, Paul Floyd, Ken Floyd, John Forbes, Terry Forbes, H. Flint Engleman II, Beverly Drell, Sherry Sumerlin and Martha Theissen.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to: Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church Food Pantry in Fishersville, VA.
