With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol S. Ryder (Stuarts Draft, Virginia), born in Caldwell, West Virginia, who passed away on December 10, 2021 at the age of 75. She was predeceased by: her husband Nickolas Edward Ryder, Sr.; her parents, William Defibaugh and Lucy Marie Defibaugh (Wilke); her daughter Sheila Christian; her siblings, Janice Defibaugh, Shirley Dirmilie and Eddie Defibaugh; her grandson Christopher Taylor; and her great grandchild Isaac Flint.
She is survived by: her children, Chester Wayne Taylor, Dennis Taylor (Vickie), Stanley Taylor and Vanessa Cropp; her siblings, Frank Defibaugh (Anna) of Caldwell, WV, Everette Defibaugh (Sandra) of Lewisburg, WV, George Defibaugh of Caldwell, WV, Betty Loomis of Fishersville, Micky Trent of Mobile, AL, Wennie Howdyshell of Staunton, Linda Moorehart of Finley, OH, Wilma Childs of Goldsboro, NC and Hilda Perry; and her stepchildren, Nickolas E. Ryder, Jr., Mike A. Ryder, Lisa R. Wells (Gerald) and Teresa R. Vanessa (Baines). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 9 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren.
