She was predeceased by: her parents, Silas Leroy Skillman and Fannie Ruth Deitrick; her husband Lyle E. Harman; her stepson J. Scott Harman; and her siblings, Allen, Bill, Donald, Bobby Skillman and Elizabeth S. Hall.
She is survived by: her children, David A. Via of Barren Ridge and Susan Via Williams of Hampton; her stepchildren, L. Anthony "Tony" Harman (Vicki), Christopher P. Harman (Joi Brown) of Waynesboro and Kimberly H. Mace (Dale) of Grottoes; and her grandchildren, Kara P. Via and Seth A. Via. She is also survived by step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
