It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Herbert Hodges (Stuart, Virginia), born in Rocky Mount, Virginia, who passed away on August 19, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucy Ida Chitwood Hodges and Charlie Jefferson Hodges; and his granddaughter Brittany Brideson. He is survived by: his wife Martha Sink Hodges; his children, Billy Hodges (Marcie) of Dry Fork, VA, Frank Hodges (Shelley) of Milton, FL and Amy Wallace (Michael) of Danville, VA; his siblings, Junior Hodges and Margie Freeman; and his grandchildren, Cliff Hodges, Kasey Wallace, Kelsey Hodges, Kaylee Hodges, Abby Wallace and Emily Wallace. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
