He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Thomas and Ina Williams McGuirt; and his brother James Lee McGuirt. He is survived by: his wife Victoria Wynne McGuirt; his children, Douglas Elliott McGuirt (Katelyn) of Greenville, S. C. and Mary McGuirt Zacá (Domenico) of Milan; his grandchildren, Leah Rosalind McGuirt and William Arlo Zacá; and his brother Dr. William Frederick McGuirt.
Donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Lumberton, directed towards any of the various committees he served on, including Boy Scouts, Kitchen, Property, and Weekday School.
