He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bedford Hanks and Louisa Virginia Puckett Hanks. He is survived by: his wife Sue Collins Hanks of Stuart; his sons, Jody Hanks (Cindy) of Jacksonville and David Hanks (Kathleen) of Margate, Florida; his grandchildren, Alex, Adam, Aidan, Michael, Colin, Nicholas, Neil Hanks and Jessica Rodriquez; and his siblings, Bonnie Hashberger of Virginia and Mickey Jackson of Texas. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Moody Funeral Services (202 W Blue Ridge St, Stuart, VA 24171). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
