She was predeceased by: her parents, William E. Beasley and Ruth Palmer Beasley; her husband Dennis Edgar Raines; and her brothers, Mike Beasley and Harold Beasley.
She is survived by: her children, Chris Rakes of Stuart, Shirley Joyce (Tim Agee) of Martinsville, Sandra Clement (Darryl) of Ararat and David Rakes (Tammy) of Pearisburg; her stepdaughter Beverly Raines Henson of New Jersey; and her pets, Smokey Joe and Phoenix. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
