She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lou Ella Bowman Shelton and Hobart Shelton; her husband Dennis "Charles" Tate; her daughter April Dawn Tate; her son-in-law James Lee Wood; her grandchildren, Andrew William O'Neal, Charles Ransom Cummings, Brody Dean O'Neal and Bryson Lee O'Neal; her siblings-in-law, Shirley Willard, Marilyn Irvin, Allen Lewis and JoAnn Marshall; her brother Johnny Ray; her sister-in-law Gail Shelton; her daughter Brandy Renee Tate; and her grandson Alex Joseph O'Neal. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
