She was predeceased by: her father Arthur Everette Dalton; her husband Coy Norman Rakes; her daughters, Brenda Meyers and Ruth Bushnell; her grandchildren, Michelle Rivera and Barry Simmons; her son-in-law C. Douglas Lawson; and her siblings, Evelyn Wiggington, Grace Mae Dalton, Claris Dalton Hall, Herman, Edward and Richard Dalton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon (Roger Mabe), Norma (Tim Goard) and Carol (R. J. Hall); her grandchildren, Joey Mabe, Amanda Hubbard, Dwain Lawson (Sandy), Jessica Owens (Ronnie), Travis Hall (April) and Andrea Alderman (Daniel); and her sister Myrtle Gregory of Stuart. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren.
