She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvis Lee Griffin and Nannie Emma Biggs Griffin; and her brother David Lee Griffin. She is survived by: her husband Arlis Kirby Smart; her daughters, Arlisa Johnson of Stuart, Anissa Smart of Spencer, Autumn Smith (Jeff) of Elkton, Annika Smart of Elkin and Angel Purdy (Robby) of Stuart; her grandchildren, Travis Johnson, Jaheim Johnson, Michael Landon Chilton, Trenton Jeffrey Smith, John Kirby Smith, Nic Fulcher and Emma Grace Purdy; and her sisters-in-law, Janice Griffin of Stuart, Gay Browne of Mount Airy, Emma Joy Hicks of Butner, Gloria Martin (Johnnie) of Bassett and Carol Sutphin of Willis. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Minnies Chapel Wesleyan Church (161 Minnies Chapel Loop, Stuart, VA 24171).
