He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Watlington Stogner and Earl Brown Stogner; his brothers, Larry N. Stogner and Jimmy; his sister-in-law Ann Craddock; and his parents-in-law, Charlie and Macie Craddock.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Craddock Stogner; his daughter Timmie Hayes (Michael) of Lexington, SC; his grandchildren, Zachary, Alyssa and Mya Hayes; his sister-in-law Bobbi Stogner; his nieces and nephews, Karen, Laura, Beth, Patrick and Christopher; his friends, Jimmy Foster of Ft. Mill, SC and David Shatterly of Yanceyville, NC; and his pets, Lucy, Daisy and Barney.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Pittsylvania County Pet Center, 11880 US029, Chatham, VA 24531.
