She was predeceased by: her husband Fred, Sr.; her sons, Fred Thomas Gilley, Jr. and Helms Moran Gilley; her parents, Henry Forrest Hancock and Myrtle Helms Hancock; and her siblings, Jeraldean "Jerry" Hancock Harrell (late William "Bill" D.), Anne Hancock Underwood (late Fred D.), Betty Jo Hancock Ayers (late Ellis E.) and Michael F. Hancock (Lucinda).
She is survived by: her sister Irene Hancock Morrow (late Rodger W.); her son Jeffrey F. Gilley; her daughter-in-law Elena S. Gilley; and her adoptive daughter Sue Bleckley of Stuart. She is also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Jean be made to Alzheimer's research, Stuart Church of Living Water, or to charitable good works of the donor's choice.
