He is survived by: his son Steve (Deborah) of Stuart; his daughter-in-law Deborah Hooks of Winston-Salem; his great grandchild Shane Stafford (Rebecca); his children, Connor, Aubrey, Emily, Sydney Mashburn (David Arthur) of Germanton, NC, Luke, Noah, Roman, Tim Hooks (Kira) of Greensboro, NC, Parker, Juliet, Felicity, Eric Hooks (Caroline) of Hudson, NC and Nathaniel; and his pet Sophie. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations and memorials be made to The Wounded Warrior Project or an animal shelter of one's choosing.
