It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rachel Johnson in Stratford, Virginia, born in Pelham, North Carolina, who passed away on December 17, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex Pruitt and Willie Melvin Pruitt; and her brother Andrew Pruitt. She is survived by: her husband Doug Johnson; her children, Joel Johnson (Jennifer) and Robin Shepheard (Davis); her grandchildren, Seth Johnson and Saige Johnson; her great grandchild Easton Frame; and her siblings, Wilson, Jimmy, Larry Pruitt, Virginia Thompson, Sylvia Adams, Gloria Bowes, Donna Gardner, Cheryl Edwards, Joyce Reid and Janie Beggarly.
The family requests that anyone coming into the home to please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
