It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Lloyd of Stratford, Virginia, who passed away on April 19, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mildred Lloyd to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, O. B. Pauley and Alice Pauley; her husband Edward Ralph Lloyd; and her siblings, William Pauley, Norman Pauley, Aldene Pauley, Christine Patterson and Ercel Murray.
She is survived by: her former husband Frank Stanley Dillon; her daughter Sandra Dillon Payne (Albert); her sister Ruth P. Thompson of Floyd, VA; her son Mike Dillon (Olga); her grandchildren, Chris Payne (Han), April Payne Akins (Andrew) and Angie Payne Wetzel (Andy); and her great grandchildren, Zachary, Sam, Olivia Payne, Caroline, Ben Wetzel, Ainsley Akins and Michelle Djiguir.
The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for Mildred during the COVID pandemic when visitation privileges were suspended at Stratford House and the isolation was especially hard on her; and during her last days in hospice care.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice.
