With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Samuel Artz Sr. (Strasburg, Virginia), who passed away on November 17, 2019 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Emory and Annie Adelia Richard Artz; and his son Samuel Franklin Artz, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Juanita Wolfe Artz; and his daughters, Barbara Artz Paquin of Strasburg, VA and Diane Artz Furlong of Strasburg, VA. He is also survived by five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions, in memory of Mr. Artz, to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 193 W. Washington Street, Strasburg, VA.
