With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sally Rutherford (Strasburg, Virginia), born in Middletown, Virginia, who passed away on May 3, 2020 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Clyde and Pearl Elizabeth Legge Thomas; and her husband William Randolph "B. I.". She is survived by: her siblings, Jack Sperry, Charlie Sperry, Connie Fitzwater, Jody Fitzwater, Janet Knaive, Denny Thomas and Jerry Thomas; her children, Jackie Barnett of Wardensville, WV and Thomas Clark Newcomb of Strasburg, VA; her stepchildren, Tammy Robinson (Pete), Kathy Varndell (Ricky), William Wesley Rutherford (Ann) and James Perry Rutherford (Justina); and her siblings, Linda Funk (Donnie) and John Thomas (Joan). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 913 Canyon Road, Morgantown, WV 26508.
