He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edgar and Rosemay Sophie "Ruth" Schmich Ashcraft; his grandson Tyler Wines; and his brother-in-law Stephen Wright. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ashcraft; his children, Megan Rhodes (Derek Johnson), Beverly Ashcraft-Miller (Ryan Miller), Patricia Ashcraft, Jillian Ashcraft and Trina Ashcraft-Murner (David Murner); his grandchildren, Canaan Rhodes, Lindsay Lockhart, Lillianna Turner, Reese Johnson, Brynn Johnson, Adrienne Ammons (Asher), James Miller (Katherine), Ashlynn Miller, Paul Ashcraft, Patrick Jones, Aaron Smith, Brandon Smith and Leno Campuzano; his siblings, Chuck Ashcraft (Brenda) of Salem, VA., Karen Smallwood (David) of Strasburg, VA. and Sharon Diehr (Michael) of Strasburg, VA.; his brothers-in-law, Edward Wright, Francis Wright and William Wright; and his close friends, Butch and Lucki. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Strasburg United Methodist Church (114 W Washington St, Strasburg, VA 22657).
