She was predeceased by: her parent Fulton Gardner; and her sisters, Joyce Johns and Irene Griffith. She is survived by: her parent Elizabeth Brown Venable; her husband Harold Franklin Putnam of Strasburg, VA; her daughters, Elizabeth Lynne Putnam of Middletown, VA and Joyce Diane Putnam Smith; and her sibling James B. Venable. She is also survived by two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
