He is survived by: his children, James Ray Ballowe, Jr. (Peggy) of Fort Valley, Terry Allan Ballowe and Lynda Ballowe (Bill Hart) of Norfolk, VA; his grandchildren, Moriah Creech, Jadah Ballowe and Sonya Broadway; his great grandchildren, Eli, Baylen, Howie, Lorelai, Skylar, Kodah, Ryatt, Joe, Samuel, Jasper and Isaac; his pet Miss Gray; his siblings, John, Joan and Ragland; and his sisters-in-law, Sara and Gloria.
