He is survived by: his friend Juanita Spencer of Strasburg; his children, Donnie Spencer of Strasburg, April Briggs (Matt) of Pensacola and Shannon Baker (Hugh) of Winchester; his siblings, Tony Spencer (Diane) of Raleigh, Bruce Spencer (Joyce) of Winchester and Irene Chapman (Harold) of Roanoke; his grandchildren, William Athey, III and Danyell Payne; and his great grandchildren, Carson and Lilly Ann.
