He is survived by: his wife Mildred Steed "Tiny" Nelson; his children, Shannon Marie Suits (Christopher) and Melissa Lynn Nelson Pownall (Matthew); his stepchildren, Chad Kline and Tina Shultz; his grandchildren, Tori Nelson, Brandon Nelson, Brennen Nelson, Joshua Suits, Christopher Scott Royal, Kenneth Ray Royal, Jr. and Thomas Shull; and his siblings, Jackie Ratliff, Donna Gscheidle and Butch Stevens. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
