He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Carter Stuart Simpson and Alberta Lou Sindie Lambert; his wife Nancy Estep Simpson; his grandchildren, Michael Simpson, Michael Mennella, John Sipe, Jason Simpson and Crissi Mennella; and his great grandchildren, Dustin Basye and Danica Castaneda.
